Rooms
43 rooms and suites, all different from each other, characterized by original furnishing elements typical of a period residence, with walls in soft colors and curtains to large windows overlooking the park. The 43 rooms, including the suites, of the luxury hotel Sina Villa Matilde are all located between the Villa, the stables, the orangery, the dovecote and the wine cellar. The Superior rooms are characterized by a country chic style guaranteeing the sleeping area a romantic and welcoming atmosphere; an old-style, nostalgic but charming atmosphere to resist is really difficult. The rooms are mainly located in the stables, in the orangery, in the dovecote and vat. The large bathrooms are decorated in colored grit typical of the time or in red marble. Some rooms have a balcony with the possibility of connecting room. The deluxe rooms are located in the Villa and characterized by a country chic atmosphere, which makes use of special elements that range from the recovery of an antique decor to the use of delicate touches that help create a romantic atmosphere. Inside the rooms, the style recalls an elegant and dèco environment rich in details that bring back to the original era of the Villa. The large bathrooms are decorated in colored grit typical of the time. Some rooms also have a balcony overlooking the centuries-old park. The Junior Suites located in the wine cellar are characterized by period furniture and floral curtains that give a feeling of belonging to the beauties of the past. The large bathrooms are decorated in marble. The Bi-Level Family Suites, located in the wine cellar, are ideal for families. On the lower floor there is the living room with sofa bed and on the mezzanine a double bed. From the large windows the gaze rests on the green hills. The Park View Suites, located on the most noble floor of the Villa, are the same rooms used by aristocratic guests of the past. Furnished with precious details, decorated with delicate colors, they still retain the original floors. All Park View Suites overlook the large secular park. The large bathrooms, in colored grit typical of the time, offer a view of the park. All rooms include a parking space in the villa's outdoor parking area and access to the Sina Wellness Club equipped with a fitness corner with Technogym equipment, sauna and Turkish bath, tennis court and outdoor swimming pool.
Restaurant
The former stables are now a Gourmet restaurant which offers traditional regional dishes to start from the "fritto misto alla Piemontese" or first courses «fondue» and truffle dishes and , to finish, the wonderful amaretto desserts all accompanied by selected local wines, among which a glass of the sweet «Passito di Caluso». Furthermore, a new restaurant has been opened by the pool during the summer months.
Exterior
The hotel SINA Villa Matilde is located in Romano Canavese, a peaceful ancient town, dominated by a high bell tower, near Valle d'Aosta, only 30 km north of Turin. The property boasts a very long history. Housed in a former Patrician villa, dating back to the 1700s, this property has undergone various renovations, in the last decade, to bring back its original beauty to life. Here it is possible to immerge oneself and relax in a green park with plain trees and chestnut trees. The main building presents 12 rooms and suites, all connected by beautiful and elegant halls. Surrounded by mountains, ancient monuments, castles, that conjure up the restless Medieval times, and acres and acres of vineyard, where exquisite Italian wines are produced every year, Romano Canavese offers the visitor in search for relaxation, a memorable stay. In July 2006, the hotel SINA Villa Matilde will open its brand new SINA Wellness Centre, haven of relaxation and wellness, set in the former lemon grove area and equipped with fitness room, sauna, Turkish bath and massage rooms.
Lobby
A wide central hall with a decorated dome opens directly into the park. All around are various rooms with marble fireplaces and antique furnishing which preserve the original splendor of the country residence.
